percent of b=a
x% times b=a
x%=a/b
x%=2/8
x%=1/4=25%
answer is 25%

There are 4 quarts in a gallon. So 2 gal * 4 qt = 8qt. Then 8 qt / 2 qt = 1/4 or 25%.
