As Ponyboy walks home, he begins to fear that he will get jumped. Though he did, Darry, Sodapop, and some of their friends came to help him.

Ponyboy begins to fear that he will get jumped (Another term for beaten up or robbed), like Johnny, when he sees a fancy car trailing him. He gets beaten up, and saved by Darry and Soda. He starts to cry and can not control it. Hope this helps!
