What is the sum of the “outer” and “inner” products as described in the FOIL method when multiplying ( x+5)(x-6) ?

outer is the multiplication of the outermost terms,
the first x and the -6.

inner is the multiplication of the innermost terms,
the +5 and the other x.

-6x + 5x is their sum.

combine these like-terms as a final step,

-1x or simply -x.
