Xavier is interested in testing the effectiveness of a new flea medication on dogs, so he divided some dogs with fleas into two groups, group C and group D. He gave group C the flea medication. Should he also give group D the flea medication?

It's No, because group D should be the control group. A control group means a group that doesn't receive the treatment so the two can be compared.

Answer:

Xavier should not give the flea medication to group D.

Explanation:

In any testing of a drug normally two groups are formed.

One group is given the named as experiment group and other group is not given any medication named as controlled group.

After the completion of testing results of these two groups (experimental and controlled) are compared to find the efficacy of the drug.

Hence Xavier should not give the flea medication to group D. It should be a controlled group.
