Could someone tell me what this says? Need to check work. (Preferably someone who speaks the language.)

Je suis né du sable et de la mer,
J’ai grandi avec du fer et de l'acier,
Je suis connue pour avoir une âme féroce et fougueuse,
On m'a appris à donner et à aimer

The Language is french. A rough translation would be "Who are you? I was born of sand and sea, I grew up with iron and steel". that would be my best guess as to what that translates to. I'm not fantastic at french but I took it a few years. good luck
