The most memorable day in my life would have to be the day my son was born. Early in my pregnancy, I began to have pre- labour contractions. I was put on bed rest for the next few weeks. I loved being on bed rest because I didn’t have to do any household chores or any grocery shopping for the next few weeks. I could just lie around and be lazy.
Fast time went by, the contractions kept coming and my blood pressure was pretty high so would only be two weeks away for my due date. The doctor didn’t try to stop labor at this time. The doctor inserted a pill in my cervix because I wasn’t dilating. Hoping this would get things started, he sent me off to the hospital.
At 5:30pm we got to the hospital, my doctor came in to check me and broke my water, after that the contractions started coming faster and more painful. I couldn’t handle the pain anymore, I had to push the call button for my epidural. Lucky it was time for me to get it. Now I was able to to get a little rest.
One hour after my epidural, it was time to start pushing. I pushed a total of 6 times and he popped out. Jaxson Lee was born. He weighed 6lbs and 7oz and was 21 inches long. He is truly a blessing.
