Of the triangle AED :
1,4 x 3,5 x 0,5 = 2,45 cm^2
Triangle AED is the same as BCF
So BCF is 2,45 cm^2
And BEDF is 3,5 x 3,5 = 12,25 cm^2

Total is: 2,45 + 2,45 + 12,25 =17,15 cm^2
