How could a former slave became a wealthy Atlanta businessman?

1) He pretended to be white and locals did not know his race.

2) He invested in the insurance business for blacks, which was a new and prosperous choice.

3) He was backed by wealthy northerners.

4) Money was available through the Freedmen's Bureau.

The best choice is probably 2. Insurance business for African American's would probably be a good business.
