The correct answer are Germany and Hungary.
Germany nearly did fall to the Communists. At the end of WWI, the Prussian Empire and the German monarchy collapsed due to the German Revolution that took place in November 1918. This revolution was led by socialist and communist ideals and a coalition of different political parties.
At the end of 1918 and the beginning of 1919, the Communist factions declared the Bavarian Soviet Republic following the Soviet administration model, and there were many riots across the country in order to overthrow the government and establish a Communist regime. Anyway, these Communist attempts were suffocated by the Social-democrat party that was leading the new Weimar Republic that succeeded the Prussian Empire.
Hungary did fall to the Communists in 1919, it was an ephemeral Communist administration that lasted from April to August of that year. Hungary fell again under a Communist government in 1949, when the Hungarian People's Republic was established under the influence of the Soviet Union. This last regime ended in 1989.
