First, you would add 7 to each side, giving us 6 = 3(w+14), meaning that w+14 would equal 2. You 2 - 14, which would equal 12.

Use distributive property
-1=3w+42-7
Subtract 7 from 42
-1=3w+35
Subtract 35 from both sides
-36=3w
Divide 3 on both sides
Final Answer: -12=w
