You do 26 / 2, which would equal 13. Then you would do the square of 13, which would equal 169.

Answer: 169

Explanation:

A perfect square trinomial is written as
ax^2+2abx+b^2, where

first term
ax^2= square of first term of binomial

second term=
2abx=twice the product of both terms of binomial.

and third term
b^2=square of last term of binomial

In the given polynomial
x^2+26x+?, a=1

2ab=26\\\Rightarrow2(1)b=26\\\Rightarrow b=13

Hence, in place of the question mark makes the given polynomial a perfect square trinomial =
b^2=13^2=169
