The length of a rectangular piece of land is 4ft more than two times its width. The perimeter is 32ft. Find the dimensions.

Since perimeter equals 2(l+w), you can do 32/2 = 16. That means l + w = 16. Then, 2x+4+x = 16, so you can do 3x = 12, getting us that the width is 4, and the length is 12.
