High speed trains in new york reach estimated speeds up to 4.96 x 10^1 meters per second. High speed trains in china estimated speeds of us to 0.96 x 10^2 meters per second.

1) explain if a high speed train in New York City travels fast or slower that a high speed train in china.

2) Approximately how many times is the speed of the faster train with respect to the speed of the other?

1) explain if a high speed train in New York City travels fast or slower that a high speed train in china. Compare 4.96*10^1 m/sec = 49.6 m/sec to
0.96*10^2 m/sec = 96 m/sec. High speed trains in China travel nearly twice as fast as do high speed trains in NY.

2) Divide: 96 m/sec
------------------ The result is 1.94.
49.6 m/sec

H. S. trains in China travel approx. 1.94 times faster than do H. S. trains in NY.
