You might find it easiest to do this: 1) find the value of x, and then 2) find 3/4 of x.

If 1/4 of x is 16, multiply both sides of this equation by 4, to clear out the fraction. What do you get? This is the value of x you wanted. Now multiply this value of x by 3/4. The result is your answer.

Hi,
1/4of X means 1/4*x=16
then 3/4 of x means 3/4*x=?
we can write 3(1/4)x
put 1/4*x=16
3(16)=48
