6/3(2+1)
Following the PEMDAS, in this problem you would start off with what's inside the parentheses.
6/3(2+1)
6/3 (3)
And then, you do the division (since if I'm correct, left to right..), 6/3=2. Finally you would multiply the 2*3=6.
