The solution to this system of equations is y = 1, x = 1

Explanation:

We know that...

(1) y = - 2x + 3

(2) y = x

Then we just substitute the value of x that we are given in equation (2).

And so we get....

y = -2x + 3

x = - 2x + 3

3x = 3

x = 1

From equation (2) we know that y = x, so since x equals 1 y is also 1. There for the solution to this system of equations is (1,1)
