3 D + .25 S = 25.75
He sold 103 cookies, which could have occurred in many ways.
8 dozen and 7 singles
7 dozen and 19 singles

Answer:

103 cookies were sold.

Explanation:

Let x be the cookies were made during the bake sale,

Given,

The cost of each cookie = 25 cent = $ 0.25,

So, the cost of x cookies = 0.25x dollars,

According to the question,

0.25x = 25.75

\implies x = 103

Hence, 103 cookies were sold.
