Constant of variation ( k ):

• y = 2/3

,

• x = 1/4

k=(y)/(x)=((2)/(3))/((1)/(4))=(8)/(3)

k = 8/3

Based on k we can find the value of y when x =3/4 as follows:

\begin{gathered} k=(y)/(x) \\ y=k\cdot x \\ y=(8)/(3)\cdot(3)/(4)=2 \end{gathered}

Answer:

• k = 8/3

,

• When ,x, = ,3/4,,, y = 2
