Answer:

Given : Andrea needs a box that has a volume of 90 cubic inches.

To find : What might the measures of her box be ?

Solution :

We have given the volume of a box = 90 cubic inches.

If we consider the box is in the cube then,

Volume of the cube is
V=a^3

Where, a is the side of the box

90=a^3

a=\sqrt[3]{90}

a=4.48

The measure of each side is approximately 4.48 inches.

If we consider the box is the cuboid then,

We find the factors of 90

90=2* 3* 3* 5

As the volume of the cuboid is
V=l* b* h

Then possible sides could be (6,3,5), (2,3,15), (2,9,5), (3,3,10).
