x = 2/3y - 2
x + y = 103

2/3y - 2 + y = 103
2/3y + y = 103 + 2
5/3y = 105
y = 105 * 3/5
y = 315/5 = 63

x + y = 103
x + 63 = 103
x = 103 - 63
x = 40

so ur 2 numbers are : 63 and 40

x + (2x/3 - 2) = 103 : Write the expression.
x + 2x/3 - 2 = 103 : Remove parentheses.
(x + 2x/3 - 2) × 3 = 103 × 3 : Multiply both sides by 3 to remove the fraction.
3x + 2x - 6 = 309 : Evaluate.
5x - 6 = 309 : Combine like terms
5x - 6 + 6 = 309 + 6 : Isolate x by adding 6 to each side.
5x / 5 = 315 / 5 : Divide by x to find its value.
x = 63.
63 is one of the number. Now, find the second number using its quantity.
2x / 3 - 2
2(63) / 3 - 2
126 / 3 - 2 = 40.
One of the numbers is 63, and the other number is 40.
