The volume of a pyramid is given by the formula

V_{\text{pyramid}}=(1)/(3)* base\text{ area}* height

Write out the given dimensions

\begin{gathered} \text{Volume}=80\operatorname{cm}^3 \\ \text{Height}=10\operatorname{cm} \\ \text{length}=6\operatorname{cm} \\ \text{width}=\text{unknown} \end{gathered}

Since the base of the pyramid is a rectangle, the base area is

A_{\text{rectangle}}=\text{width }* length

Substituting the given dimensions to get the value of the width\

\begin{gathered} V_{\text{pyramid}}=(1)/(3)* width* length* height \\ 80=(1)/(3)* width*6\operatorname{cm}*10\operatorname{cm} \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} 80\operatorname{cm}=20* width \\ \text{width}=(80)/(20) \\ \text{width}=4\operatorname{cm} \end{gathered}

Hence, the width of the pyramid is 4cm
