Moles of Oxygen produced : = 1.836

Further explanation

Given

Reaction

2KClO₃ = 2KCl +3O₂

Required

moles of Oxygen

Solution

moles of Potassium chlorate(122.5 g/mol) :

= mass : MW

= 150 g : 122.5 g/mol

= 1.224

From the equation,mol ratio of KClO₃ : O₂ = 2 :3 , so mol O2 :

= 3/2 x mol KClO₃

= 3/2 x 1.224

= 1.836
