Ans.

Anaerobic respiration involves breakdown of organic compounds into simple compounds in the absence of oxygen for energy production. It is performed by various bacteria, yeast and animal and plant cells under hypoxic conditions. Glucose is consumed during both aerobic and anaerobic respiration

During anaerobic respiration, glucose is converted into lactic acid or ethanol, with carbon dioxide and release of energy as ATP molecules.

Thus, options (A) and (B) are correct as production of ethanol would indicate that the respiration reactions occurring are anaerobic.
