6÷8=1 2/6 and it's even then divide 2/6 into 2 and that's1/3. The answer is 1 1/3

Answer: Each dog will get
1(1)/(3) pounds.

Explanation:

In the below diagram,

There is a grid having 8 parts in every part is of 1 pound,

Now, we have to divide these parts in 6 parts,


Parts give to 6 dogs = 8


Parts give to 1 dog = (8)/(6)=1(2)/(6)=1(1)/(3)

Hence, each dog will get
1(1)/(3) pounds.
