The lines are almost pointing at those angles. All of the angles will equal 180 so we set up an equation

180=2x + 40 because Q and R have the same value we multiply the 2x by 2

now we have 180=4x+40

step 1 subtract each side by 40

140=4x

step 2 divide each side by 4

35=x
