okay so the problem is stating that only 8% of the restaurant's 45,000 guests will not be coming again next year. 8% of 45,000 is 3600.
Here is the work: .08 x 45000 = 3600
Now, subtract 3600 from 45000:
Here is the work: 45000 - 3600 = 41400
So, 41,400 people are expected to show up to the restaurant the next year.
