PLEASE HELP ME FAST!!!!!

1.) The scatter plot shows the relationship between the number of car accidents in a month and the number of drivers attending a program on distracted driving. The equation represents the linear model for this data.

y=−0.0067x+17

What does the number -0.0067 in the equation mean in this context?

A. The number of accidents increased by 0.67 per month for every additional 100 drivers in the program.

B. There were 0.67 accidents per month.

C. The number of accidents was reduced by 0.67 per month for every additional 100 drivers in the program.

D. The number of accidents was reduced by 0.67 per month every month.

E. The number of accidents was reduced by 0.67 per month for every additional driver in the program.

Answer:

Option C is correct.

Explanation:

We have been given the curve in which y-axis represents accidents per month and x-axis represents drivers in program.

We have been given a linear function between car accidents and number of drivers

y= -0.0067 x+17

From equation of line

y= m x+c

On comparing it with general equation of line we can see that m=-0.0067 which means negative slope.

If slope is negative the graph is decreasing from y-axis.

0.67 every 100 drivers means 0.0067 slope we are getting.

Therefore, The number of accidents was reduced by 0.67 per month for per 100 drivers in the program.

Hence, option C is correct.

It is negative so you know it is decreasing

.67 by 100 drivers will give you the .0067
