The appeals that are used in this poster are: Logos and Ethos.

Logos is the use of facts and statistics to support a point.

We see the usage of logos in this poster because there was a reference to a news report about a U.S ship that was sunk thus resulting in a loss of lives.

Also, Ethos was used because there was a list of names from the National War Poster Companion that demonstrated the credibility of the information.
