it does not pass through quadrant I.
Both the slope and Y value are negative.
Meaning this equation goes up to the left and down right.
(you can use a graphing calculator (if you have one.) and plug this equation into the GRAPH.) It will show you the line.

It doesn't passes because:
1) It has a negative gradient
2) It has a y-intercept of -5
