the Order of Operations can be remembered as PEMDAS.

Parenthesis
Exponents
Multiplication/Division(whichever comes first)
Addition/Subtraction(whichever comes first)

Taking this into consideration, you would first multiply 6 x 4, because there are no exponents or parenthesis to deal with. 6 x 4= 24
Then, you would divide that by 12. 24÷12= 2.
Then, subtract 3. 2-3= -1

Order of operations = PEMDAS

Multiply and divide first, then subtract

6x4 divided by 12 - 3

24 divided by 12 - 3

2 - 3

-1, is your answer
