How will fragmentation affect the mass spectrum of hydrogen chloride? Explain in one or two sentences.

If fragments of HCI occur then two peaks will be observes 1st at 1 (for H) 2nd at 35.5 (for Cl) but there will not be molecular peak of HCI because in fragmentation the molecule breaks due to which no molecular peak is obtained.
