r is being multiplied by t, so the opposite of that is dividing r by t. the answer is r=d/t

Answer:

r=(d)/(t)

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the given formula that is used to find distance,

d=rt -----(1)

Where, r is the rate ( speed ),

t is time.

From equation (1),

rt=d

Dividing 't' on both sides,

We get,

r=(d)/(t)

Which is the required equation that is used to find rate or speed.
