hypotenuse^2 = unknown leg^2 + known leg^2
9^2= x^2+5^2
9^2-5^2=x^2

Use the equation=
x^2+5^2=9^2
x^2+25=81
x^2+25-25=81-25
x^2=56
x=7.48331477355
