A recipe calls for 2 3/4 cups of milk.how many cups of milk, written as a fraction greater than one, are used in the recipe?

2 is same as 8/4, you then add 3/4 to 8/4 by adding together the numerators,
3+8=11.
3/4 +8/4
3+8=11 and keep the 4 and you'll get the answer 11/4

3+8=11.
