Clive's age = c
Sherman's age = s

Three years ago, Sherman was twice as old as Clive
s-3 = 2*(c-3)
s = 3 + 2c - 6
s = 2c - 3

Answer is A

Let, the age of Clive = c
Age of sherman = s

Then, (s - 3) = 2(c - 3)
s - 3 = 2c - 6
s = 2c - 3

In short, Your Answer would be Option A

Hope this helps!
