The correct answers to this question are A) English Protestant leaders asked William and Mary to come to England and take over the throne. C) One reason for referring to the overthrow of the king as "glorious" was that almost no blood was shed. D) Protestant leaders were upset with James II for appointing Catholics to high positions in the army, the government, and leading universities.

Those were the accurate statements about the Glorious Revolution.

The Glorious Revolution started because James II was very devoted to Catholicism. This generated differences and problems among the people. The Protestant leaders did not see the King’s devotion to Catholicism with good eyes. They were upset with Catholic people getting to important positions in different areas of the social and political life of England such as the members of the government, the Army and colleges.

One of the main characteristics of the Glorious Revolution was that very few people got hurt. There was no need to shed blood. After the movement ended, Protestants went to talk to William and Mary and asked them to return to England to become King and Queen of Britain.
