The area of the rectangle is equal to

we have

h=3\ mm

substitute

Find the area of semicircle

The area of semicircle is equal to


A=(1)/(2)\pi r^(2)

we have


r=9/2=4.5\ m

substitute


A=(1)/(2)(3.14)(4.5^(2))=31.8\ mm^(2)

Step 3

Find the area of the figure


27\ mm^(2)+31.8\ mm^(2)=58.8\ mm^(2)
