What is the value of b2 - 4ac for the following equation?

2x2 + 3x = -1

2x^2 + 3x = -1

2x^2 + 3x + 1 = 0

A = 2
B = 3
C = 1

B^2 - 4ac = (3)^2 - 4(2)(1) = 9 - 8 = 1.

The value of your discriminant would be 1.
