You would first expand the brackets, so:
4(x - 2) - 3x = 2
4x - 8 - 3x = 2
Then you'd add the like-terms together:
x - 8 = 2
And then just solve:
x - 8 = 2
+ 8
x = 2
So your final answer is x= 2, I hope this helps!

First distribute into parentheses
4x - 8 - 3x = 2
Add like terms
X - 8= 2
Add 8 on both sides
X= 10
