x+y=6 --> Equation 1
x-y=8 --> Equation 2
Equation 1 - Equation 2 =
2y =-2
y = -1
x+y = 6 --> Plug y value into equation
x + (-1) = 6
x-1 = 6
x = 7
y = -1, x = 7
