I think my teacher made a mistake on this question or am I wrong?

Which is the largest group of organisms?

1. birds
2. eukaryotes
3. prokaryotes
I chose 2. eukaryotes

Keep in mind he said which is the largest group of organisms, a eukaryote is any organism that has eukaryotic cells (which have nucleus unlike the prokaryotic cells). Birds are eukaryotes so I don't really understand why I got it wrong. Either way would be correct because birds ARE eukaryotes...

yes you are correct, everything except bacteria is eukaryotic...But your teacher probably has an answer sheet so him/her marked it wrong because the answers didn't match up...i suggest asking him/her about it

I would agree with you on that, but sometimes things like common core have stupid answers and the teachers will say you're wrong when you did pick the correct type of answer but not the exact answer they wanted. But yes I would agree with you. :)
