Explanation:

2.3X + 1.5Y = 110

X= 110/2.3 - 1.5Y/2.3.....(1)

x + y = 60

x= 60-Y......(2)

so use these two equations

60-Y = 110/2.3 - 1.5Y/2.3

60-110/2.3 = 1.5Y/2.3 + Y

280/23 = 8/23 Y

Y = 35

So now sub Y into (2)

X= 60-35

X= 25
