Sexual reproduction requires more time
Asexual produces more offspring and takes less ime

When producing asexualy, the rate of reproduction is faster versus the rate of producing sexually. Sexual reproduction requires more time and a mate; mates also take time to find. With asexual reproduction, the bacteria only has to double it's original mass to reproduce.
