Math and science can be apply to nature. For example, for AP Biology class, we did a lab on plant transpiration. The purpose in this lab is to see how much mass does water lose each day. We did this for seven days. In doing this, we have six plants and put them under each conditions: competition (2 plants in one plastic bag), light (put a plant under light), windy (use a fan), dark (putting it under a counter, humility (cover the plant in 2 ziplock bags), and as for the last plants, we leave it as it is. So measuring the mass is what's applying to math. As for science, an example may be light. What happened here is the leaves are dried out and the xylem can't get water. Well maybe further research may be necessary to apply to science. Hope I help a little ^-^
