The corresponding sides of two similar rectangles are 14 ft and 8 ft. The area of the smaller rectangle is 57 ft2. To the nearest whole number, what is the area of the larger rectangle?

Assume they are right triangles, find the other side of the smaller triangle
2(57/8) = 14.25 sq/ft: (.5*14.25*8=57).
Find the other side of the larger triangle, using corresponding sides in
similar triangles
*14.25 = 24.9375

Find the area of the larger triangle
.5*14*24.9375 = 174.5625 sq/ft area of the larger triangle.
