Solve the equation for x:

∛(2x + 1) = 3

Cube both sides of the equation above:

[ ∛(2x + 1) ]³ = 3³

2x + 1 = 27

2x = 27 – 1

2x = 26

26
x = ——
2

x = 13

Solution set: S = {13}.

I hope this helps. =)

I'm guessing ∛(2x+1)=3
cube both sides
2x+1=27
minus 1 both sides
2x=26
divide by 2
x=13
