Since one inch is equivalent to 30 miles on map, you just multiply '30 miles' by 5.25 to get the map scale of 5.25 inches.

30 × 5.25 = 157.5

So the answer is 157.5 miles.

Alternatively, you can add inches, like this:

1 inch = 30 miles
2 inches = 1inch + 1 inch = 30 miles + 30 miles = 60 miles
3 inches = 1 inch + 2 inches = 60 miles + 30 miles

and so on, then do the fourth of inches to get 7.5 miles

Hope this helps.
