A tile pattern on a wall is made up of two identical parallelograms and three identical triangles. Each parallelogram has a base of 14 in. and a height of 10 in. The height of the entire pattern is 18 in. What is the area?

It would have been better if a figure come with your question but I will just imagine how the pattern looks like.

Automatically, the area of the two parallelograms is
(14) (10) + (14)(10) = 280 square inches
The are of the three triangles assuming that they are on top of the parallelogram is
3 (1/2) (18 - 10)(7) = 84 sq. inches

The total area is
280 + 84 = 364 sq. inches
