Area of a triangle is A=1/2×base×height
Now you can do this in two ways:
1) A=1/2×base×height
24=1/2×b×4
24= 2×b ( take half of 4)
24/2=2/2×b
12=b
Therefore the base of the triangle is is 12 metres
Isolate b ( base)
2) A=1/2×b×h
A(2)=1/2(2)×b×h
2A=2/2×b×h
2A=1×b×h
2A/h= b×h/h
2A/h=b
So substitute the numbers in and solve:
2A/h=b
2(24)/4=b
48/4=b
12=b
Thus the base of the triangle is 12m

So the answer choice C is right

Area of a triangle = 1/2 b * h.
Using this formula, we can find the one we need.
Plug the numbers we have into the formula, and we get:
24 = 1/2 b * 4
6 = 1/2 b
12 = b
The base is 12 meters.
c) 12 m
