24 - 18 = 6 so 6/24 = 0.25 or 25%

We know that there are 6 girls (24 -18). Now we need to find the percent of 6 of 24. To do that we divide 100% by 24, which is 4.166666666... Then we do that times 6, which is 25. Therefore, 25% of the students are girls.
